About SVMIC Education

State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company welcomes our policyholders and others to our online education site. SVMIC is dedicated to providing healthcare professionals with convenient access to continuing education. Online continuing education provides "anytime, anywhere," access to risk management courses that aid the healthcare professional in avoiding liability exposure and improving patient safety.

For 2010, the only Medrisk courses that will qualify for your SVMIC premium credit are Risk Management Rounds: Physicians: Case Studies, 2nd Edition SVMIC and Risk Management Essentials for Physicians, 2nd Edition, Part I.  Courses that qualified in previous years will not qualify for the premium credit in 2010, but will still earn you CME credit.

Note: All registrations are final after fourteen days. After that time, we will be unable to switch you over to hard copy or refund your registration fee.

About MedRisk® e-Learning Services

Throughout this site, you will see the "Powered by MedRisk" logo. SVMIC has partnered with MedRisk® to provide online risk management courses. MedRisk® has been active in the risk management field since 1986, assisting physicians, dentists, nurses, allied health team members, insurers, and hospital administrators in their efforts to identity and manage the liability risks inherent in caring for patients in a complex environment.  SVMIC will continue to work with MedRisk®  to add additional courses to the online course catalog.
